Biesterfeld is New Exclusive Distributor for Kaolin
The German distribution service provider Biesterfeld will be the official distributor of Pharmakaolin B 860 for the Quarzwerke Group starting at the beginning of June. The partnership covers the DACH region, Benelux, Spain, Portugal, Greece and the Czech Republic. This specially prepared white clay product is a cosmetic and therapeutic ingredient.
Broad Range of Ingredient Applications
The pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries have numerous applications for kaolin. It is used in the manufacture of pastes, pills, powders, ointments, face masks, deodorants, decorative cosmetics and soaps. The Pharmakaolin B860 variant from the Quarzwerke Group has an especially high content of the natural mineral kaolinite.
Chemical Properties in Accordance with Standards
According to Biesterfeld, the ingredient is characterised by a bright white colour. Pharmakaolin B 860 is odourless, finely granulated and is soft to the touch. Furthermore, it is easily dispersible in water and, despite its high binding capacity, does not draw any moisture from the air.
The kaolin, originating from Germany, also complies with all European Pharmacopoeia regulations for both external and internal applications.
