CosmeticBusiness: Sustainability and Innovations
Just one more week until the 15th edition of CosmeticBusiness will take place at the MOC in Munich. From 5 to 6 June, more than 400 exhibitors will present everything that is necessary for the successful development of cosmetic products - from active ingredients and new formulations to innovative production and packaging solutions. This year, sustainability is one of the focal points at both the exhibition and the accompanying conference programme.
First Time for New Theme Routes
Special routes have been created to give sustainability and innovation even more prominence at the industry platform, making it easier for visitors to find their way around the halls.
The first path is the so-called "Green Route". Exhibitors who offer products or services that help the customer operate in an even more sustainable, resource-saving or environmentally friendly way will be participating here. This could involve the use of renewable raw materials, waste reduction or increased energy efficiency.
The "Innovation Route" features exhibitors who are presenting new products at the SPOTLIGHT special exhibition. It will focus on innovative products that were launched no more than six months ago as of their CosmeticBusiness presentation date.
Particularly exclusive solutions can be found on the "Premium Route." Visitors can use the online exhibitor directory and the on-site trade fair guide to track the recommended topics.
Expansion of the Colour Cosmetics Section
Last year saw the introduction of a special section for colour cosmetics at the trade fair. It was so well received that it will be expanded in 2019. This year, even more suppliers will present their Colour Cosmetics range in Hall 1. Two newcomers are the Italian private label specialist Gi Picco's and the packaging manufacturer MKTG Industry. The brush and packaging supplier Cosmogen from France will also make an appearance for the first time.
Return of the Distributors Lounge
The Distributors Lounge, which will continue this year, had a successful première at the last trade fair. Matchmaking Sessions for suppliers and distributors of cosmetic brands will take place on 6 June. These services make the trade fair even more valuable for cosmetic companies looking for sales partners in German-speaking countries.
Tracing Trends in the Conference Programme
A major focus in this year's conference programme is on identifying trends in the cosmetics market. A number of lectures will be held to discuss what the driving colour and material trends are and which regional and global trends inspire the cosmetics industry - especially in the field of Colour Cosmetics. In addition, the Carlin Creative Trend Bureau from Paris will be holding trend workshops on both days of the fair.
