Douglas Launches Beauty Marketplace for Europe
At the end of October, Douglas announced that the company's online shop will become a European beauty platform. In addition to the perfumery's standard range, several firms have partnered with Douglas to sell a selection of products.
Launch of a Beauty Platform for Europe
Douglas has expressed its intention to transform its website from an online shop into a trading platform for cosmetic products. In the future, it will offer various brands a new opportunity to distribute their products. Douglas will only act as a trading platform for these labels and will not assume any responsibility for the purchasing process or shipping.
Selected Beauty Partners
The brands that will be given the opportunity to market their products on the Douglas website in the future have been specially selected by the company. The perfumery chain plans to add the first 10,000 accessories and natural cosmetic products to its online range soon. Douglas also reported that it is in negotiations with 100 additional partners.
The new business model will be launched in the German online store first, before Douglas extends it into other markets.
