Dear Readers, Clients, Business Partners and Friends,

After more than a decade, today is the day I bid you farewell as innovator, founder and managing owner of CosmeticBusiness.

On July 1, 2012 the Leipzig Trade Fair "Leipziger Messe GmbH" will be assuming 100% of the news and information portal cosmetic-business.com and the CosmeticBusiness trade fair. From that point forward, the Leipziger Messe GmbH will be solely responsible for operating the site and organizing all trade fair events.

I took great personal interest in doing my best to assist you in your business processes on a daily basis with the help of the News Portal and the annual trade fair. In this respect, professional and content-related quality was the top priority at CosmeticBusiness right from day one. And although the company faced many obstacles in the initial stages, a few simple, yet very impressive statistics demonstrate just how successful my team and I were in achieving our goals:

The very first newsletter, which I sent to you over 10 years ago, went out to a whopping 300 recipients. Today, you are receiving my final newsletter together with more than 27,000 other readers. The first newsletter contained 10 articles and a bit of news. In the past ten years, I have sent you a total of over 3,000 articles.

At the first CosmeticBusiness B2B trade fair, held in 2005, I had the pleasure of welcoming 48 exhibiting and represented companies on 1,500 m2 of floor space. In 2012, I was working with over 360 foreign and domestic businesses and more than 10,000 m2 of space: an increase of 750% resp. 650% within 8 years. This means that the CosmeticBusiness trade fair is now clearly the gathering place in Germany for cosmetic industry suppliers.

I can see that all the right pieces are in place for the continued growth of CosmeticBusiness. In closing, I would like to once again express my heartfelt thanks to all my readers, visitors, exhibitors, business partners and friends for their years of support.
