SSL Healthcare Deutschland, owner of foot care brand Scholl, hires Martin Milewski as CEO

Martin Milewski, 48, has been responsible since April 2010 for business at the medium-sized company SSL Healthcare Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG in Frankfurt. With a business degree, Milewski began his career in 1989 at Unilever Bestfoods GmbH, before changing to Diageo Deutschland GmbH in 2004 as Marketing Director for Germany and Commercial Director for Austria. He followed this with positions at the DDB Group as Head of Strategic Planning (2007), and as CEO of Rupp Advertising Agency (2008). His duties at SSL Healthcare Deutschland include managing the company in the DACH region, and developing and implementing marketing strategies for the successful SSL brands Scholl and Durex.

Martin Milewski succeeds Volker Sydow, who played a decisive role over the last few years in the continuously strong growth of SSL Healthcare Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG . The business and brand strategy based on continual product innovations and greater investments in niche markets meant an annual two-figure growth for the company. SSL’s Healthcare Deutschland portfolio includes the foot care brand and the condom manufacturer Durex, which are market leaders in their respective sectors.

As the new CEO of SSL Healthcare Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Martin Milewski’s task is to further expand the existing business strategy and initiate new impulses: “We will continue to focus on product innovations and concentrate investment in niche markets. Our target is strong growth through innovation. In future we want to continue to meet the users’ requirements and get even closer to the consumer“, says Milewski.
