    Wella marks 30 Years of Leading Beauty in China

    "It’s the longest-standing brand to serve stylists and the salon industry. It’s been a leader in professional hair care and fashion trends in the world for over 133 years. And this week, we’re celebrating its 30th anniversary in China," P&G stated.

    During its rich 133-year history, Wella has introduced countless innovations that have helped inspire the hair fashion world and make beauty dreams come true. More than 90 years ago, the brand launched a perm service for salons that allowed them to offer the short, curly hairstyle that defined the Roaring Twenties. And in 1954, Wella Koleston Perfect became the first innovative permanent cream colorant that also conditions hair.

    Each year, over 90 million people experience the creativity of stylists who use Koleston Perfect. As the first international professional hair brand in China, According to the company, Wella has coloured the lives of hundreds of thousands of Chinese people, introducing hundreds of innovations in its 30-year history there.

    The company has also trained thousands of young stylists who are able to fulfil their customer’s beauty dreams, the company reported. In the last year, the brand has trained more people than the number of graduates from Peking University in the past 22 years.

    In his address to Wella China employees, Alastair Symington, Wella China Country Manager said, “Wella has a long history, but it is also a forward-looking brand. It is always creating new ideas and it will continue to be a leader in hairdressing in the future. In the coming year, Wella will introduce our newly designed perms and color products to China to extend the legend.”
